No display on panel or any one of the buttons failure. Remote control failure.Transformer (Discharge transformer before testing)Check resistance between the two input/output lines on transformer. Replace the transformer if either of the input/output is open or the transformer is damaged.
Display board or main PCB failureCheck the voltage of display board. Replace the display board if it is +5V else replace the main PCB.

Capillary tubeRegulate the flow if capillary tube and make the evaporating temperature appropriate if the evaporator is frosted. Replace if blocked. Repair joint if leaking.
CompressorThe inlet and outlet valve of the compressor is damaged, making the low pressure connected with the high pressure. The refrigerating system can not produce high pres- sure and low pressure. Replace the compressor after checking for the reason.
Heat sourcesReduce if too many.
Excessive noise.Copper tubingRemove the cabinet and carefully rearrange tubing not to contact cabinet, compressor, shroud and barrier.
The unit starts and stops frequently.Power supplyThe input power supply voltage is too low. Call an electrician if not within limits.

Outdoor temperatureWhen the outdoor temperature is too high, the compressor will protect.

AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT OPERATE AT ALL• Is the unit plugged in or is the plug loose?
• Has the fuse blown or is the circuit breaker tripped?
• Did you restart the unit within 3 minutes of a power failure? If the power was off for less than 3 minutes when, you restarted the air conditioner, a protective device may cause the compressor to shut off, preventing cooling for about 5 minutes.
• Are the OPERATION, TIMER and MEGA COOL lamps blinking? The water tank inside the unit is full. It must be drained. (See page 30)
• Check the power plug. (See page 22) AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT COOL PROPERLY
• Is it set to FAN, DEHUMIDIFICATION or VENTILATION mode? Cooling does not take place in these modes. Change the MODE setting.
• Is the filter clogged with dust? Clean the filter.
• Is the cooling coil frozen? No air will blow out if the cooling coil is frozen. Run the air conditioner in FAN mode with the fan speed set to "HIGH" until all ice dissipates.
• Is the temperature set properly?
• Is the window exposed to direct sunlight? Close the curtains or blinds to minimize solar energy heating the room.
• Is the exhaust hose too long? For efficient operation, make the hose as short as possible. The exhaust hose must not be twisted or bent.
SOUNDS• The unit may seem rather loud for the first 2 to 3 minutes when the unit is turned on. This is the sound of the compressor starting-up and is perfectly normal.
• A soft, swishing noise can be heard immediately after the unit is turned on or off, and also during operation. This is the sound of the refrigerant flowing inside the unit.
• A low buzzing noise is emitted when the unit is generating Plasmacluster ions.
• This air conditioner evaporates water condensed during cooling operation within the unit through the exhaust air outlet. Although water flowing sound way be heard, this is normal.
• An audible gurgling sound may be heard when the unit is operated on a gently sloping floor. Place the unit on a level floor.
TIMER DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY• If a power failure occurs while the TIMER is set, the TIMER setting will be cancelled and will not be retrieved even after the power is restored. This is normal for this unit.
THE UNIT FAILS TO REACT TO THE REMOTE CONTROL SIGNAL• Check the batteries in the remote control. Replace if necessary.
• Try to send the signal again with the remote control pointed directly at the unit’s signal receiver window.
• Check whether the remote control batteries are installed with the polarities properly aligned.
THE DISCHARGED AIR HAS AN ODOR • Plasmacluster ion generator emit small traces of ozone which may produce an odor. These ozone emissions are below safety levels.

SYMPTOMREMEDY (not a malfunction)
Odours and smoke are not removed.• Clean or replace the filters if they appear to be heavily soiled. (Refer to E-15.E-18)
The CLEAN-SIGN Light illuminates green even when the air is impure.• The air could be impure at the time the unit was plugged in. (Refer to E-6) Pull out the plug from the electrical outlet, and insert the plug one minute later.
The CLEAN-SIGN Light illuminates orange or red even when the air is clean.• The sensitivity of the sensors become unstable when the opening of the odour sensor or dust sensor is dirty or is clogged. Clean the dust around the sensor opening using a vacuum cleaner. (Refer to E-14)
A clicking or ticking sound is heard from the unit.• Clicking sound or ticking sound is emitted when the unit is generating ions.
The discharged air has an aroma or odour.• Check to see if the filters are heavily soiled. Replace the filters.
• Plasmacluster Air Purifiers emit small traces of ozone which may produce an odour. These ozone emissions are well below safety levels.
The unit does not operate when cigarette smoke is in the air.• Is the unit installed in a location that is difficult for the sensor to detect cigarette smoke?
• Are the dust or odour sensor openings blocked or clogged? (In this case, clean the openings.) (Refer to E-14) (Care Cycle : MIST Filter: 1 month)
The MIST Filter Indicator Light remains activated even after replacing filter.• After replacing filters, connect the power cord to an outlet and press the Mist Filter Reset Button. (Refer to E-17)
The Plasmacluster Indicator Light or the CLEAN-SIGN Light will not activate.• Check to see if the Lights OFF Mode selected. If so, then press the Plasmacluster ON/OFF Button for 3 seconds to activate the indicator lights. (Refer to E-13)
Plasmacluster Indicator Light repeat colour cycles between light and shade.• The ION SHOWER operation is working.
The Mist Filter Indicator Light does not turn on even water is in.• Please check if the impurities adhered to the surface of the Float. Clean the Mist Tray. Check to see if the Main Unit is put on a inclined surface.
When the water of the tank does not decrease or the decrease of the water is slow.• Check to see if the Mist Tray and Tank are installed correctly.
• Check the Mist Filter. Replace the filter when it is heavily soiled. (Refer to E-17,18)
The CLEAN-SIGN LIGHT switches frequently.• The CLEAN-SIGN Light will automatically switches the colours when detected by dust and odour sensors.
